About
After recovering from Anorexia Nervosa, Fernanda do Valle has dedicated part of her time to giving lectures and alerting young people and parents to the dangers of this disease. She has also mentored and coached families struggling with an eating disorder or eating difficulties.
"My personal experiences and pain have taught me to transform all my struggles into a channel to help others," says Fernanda.
Fernanda is the creator of the project "Free Yourself, You were born to be REAL, not PERFECT," - A photograph project that brings body diversity in different shapes, ages, and ethnicities. A way to inspire, encourage, challenge, and promote freedom among women. A fight for social visibility and respect. It's a movement for social change. It is a movement looking forward to ending the standards imposed by the society.
Fernanda has published nine books in Brazil, three translated into English. She received the International Recognition of Brazilian Literature (2022 and 2023) and the Staff de Ouro award (2009).
